Nati, cresciuti e rimasti fedeli ostinatamente alla provincia di Arezzo, uniti da un’amicizia e da una passione rare, i Negrita tornano al Goa~BoaFestival di Genova nell’ambito del tour italiano in occasione dell’uscita del loro decimo album in studio, pubblicato lo scorso 9 marzo, un omaggio al luogo che li ispira: “Desert Yacht Club”, l’omonima oasi creativa fondata da Alessandro Giuliano nel deserto di Joshua Tree in California.
I Negrita sono uno dei gruppi rock più influenti del panorama musicale italiano degli ultimi venticinque anni. Nonostante la continua evoluzione stilistica, il loro sound è rimasto unico e riconoscibile nel tempo, ed oggi sono tornati con numerose date live in tutta Italia, proprio anche “per superare una crisi “personale”, come dicono i tre componenti del gruppo.
Desert Yacht Club contiene undici tracce inedite, scritte e composte dai Negrita e prodotte da Fabrizio Barbacci.

Per molti versi, molto dell’immaginario con cui ci siamo presentati al mondo più di vent’anni fa era iniziato proprio da lì, per poi trasformarsi in un rapporto che, tra arrivederci e clamorosi ritorni, ci aveva tenuti sempre legati a quei luoghi così densi di mitologia.
